Wild Crafting

Including wild and Native plants in our diet gives us strength and resilience that cultivated plants just don’t supply. Eating directly from the land also powerfully connects one to the place.

There are many medicinal and food plants growing abundantly in their natural habitat along the creek banks, under the trees and in the clearings. As the seasons come around, we gather these plants for immediate use, dry them or make herbal medicine. Apprentices staying at Aerious’ current home, LivingWell, participate in harvesting and processing a variety of plants including nettles, dandelions, St.John’s wort, yarrow, burdock coltsfoot, and horsetail.
